“I have limited control over what I create, only how it is.”
With a life affected by ADHD and CPTSD and their accompanying comorbid disorders, concepts and images just appear in my mind’s eye. This subconscious working is both exhilarating and tiring; it is like moving forwards from 0 to 100 miles an hour in one second. One minute my mind is doing something I am tasking it with and the next it is being over written, and I am suddenly left with a concept or a visual image of something that must be created and brought into existence.
I use a variety of mediums which include, photography, drawing, weaving and papier-mâché to produce themed work predominantly in relation to People and Place, and Mental Health.
