Grant Collins

I first started my most recent journey through art when a friend joined a calligraphy class at the Crayford Centre. From an early age I would run errands for my Dad’s Advertising Company at Covent Garden where I was taught and encouraged to practice art.  At the age of 16, when I was in the sixth form, I suffered from Schizophrenia, as an Acid Casualty.  I spent nine months in the Maudsley Hospital, getting better, where I carried on doing my Yoga and Vegetarianism.  The doctor knew I was practicing Yoga every morning and let me go on holiday to the Yoga for Health Foundation in Bedfordshire for ten days.  I practise my art using colour on canvas; I enjoy collage pieces and I also do sculpture.
