Grant Collins

I first started my journey through art when a friend joined a calligraphy class at the Crayford Centre. From an early age I would run errands for my dad’s advertising company at Covent Garden where I was taught and encouraged to practice art. At the age of 16, when I was in the sixth form, I was suffering from Schizophrenia, as I was an acid casualty. I spent nine months in Maudsley Hospital, getting better, where I carried on my Yoga and Vegetarianism. The doctor knew I was practicing yoga every morning and let me go on holiday to the yoga for health foundation in Bedfordshire for ten days. I practice my art using colour on canvas; I enjoy collage pieces and also do sculpture.
