Karen Larkin

I have suffered from depression on and off for years but had a major setback in 2016 which created a level of anxiety and panic in me that I had never experienced before.  I quit my job and found it difficult to go out by myself.  I discovered Centrepieces in August 2016 after visiting an exhibition in the Gallery at Hall Place, with my mother and daughter.  I joined that day and have never looked back. I took part in workshops which suited my love of sculpting and creating imaginative/ fantasy art. My latest passions are acrylic pouring, mosaic and encaustic wax. Although I am now more involved with the day to day running of Centrepieces I still enjoy being able to learn new skills and techniques.   You never stop learning!  As in the words of Albert Einstein “I have no special talent, I am only passionately curious.”
